Current Series

Between the Pages

Between the Pages invites readers to discover how God’s truth can be found in the stories we already love. Each week pairs a familiar children’s book with Scripture to explore how faith shapes real-life relationships, choices, and identity. From loyal friendship and peaceful responses to hardship, love, and self-worth, this series helps students see that God is present not just in the Bible, but in the everyday moments that shape who we are becoming.

Through engaging stories and biblical reflection, participants will learn that faith is lived out in ordinary decisions, difficult seasons, and the way we see ourselves and others. God’s truth meets us between the pages—and continues with us into our own stories.

Jan 7 - Frog and Toad Are Friends - In this book, the characters model a friendship that isn't flashy oe convenient. Students will learn that real friends don't just show up for the highlights, they stay for the whole story. (Proverbs 17:17, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, John 15:12-15)

Jan 21 - World War Won - This story exaggerates conflict to reveal how easily small disagreements grow when we react instead of pause. Escalation often feels justified but rarely reflects Christ. (Proverbs 15:1, Proverbs 20:3, James 1:19-20, Romans 12:17-18)

Jan 28- Going on a Bear Hunt - "We have to go through it" captures a truth about life: not every challenge has a shortcut. Faith means trusting God's presence in the middle of difficulty. (Psalm 23:4, Isaiah 43:2, Joshua 1:9)

Feb 4 - The Princess and the Kiss - This story highlights the cost of giving away love too quickly and reminds us that love, when treated casually, often can lead to pain. The right kind of love is worth protecting. (Song of Songs 2:7, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Psalm 119:9)

Feb 11 - You Are Special - The dots and stars show how easily we let others define us. But, the Creator's voice cuts through the noise and speaks lasting truth! (Ephesians 2:10, Galations 1:10, Romans 8:1)
