Senior Ministries

SCRIPTURE SUPPORT:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)

PURPOSE:
FCC Senior Ministries seeks to exemplify the love of Christ and to encourage those who consider themselves to be of “Senior” age through friendship, teaching, sharing, support, prayer, companionship, “get-aways,” Bible Study, and fellowship.
All events and activities are designed to address and meet the varying joys and needs of those who have earned the wonderful distinction of being a “Senior!”

PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES:
-Senior Saints in the Smokies - is an annual trip to Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee for those age 50+. It features excellent teaching from God’s Word on topics of relevant interest to Seniors, worship, free time, off-site visits to area attractions, fellowship, uplifting entertainment, and great food!
-Loyal Berean's Sunday School class - is formatted specifically for Seniors and meeting at FCC after Sunday Worship. It consists of Biblical teaching, sharing, and encouragement. Seniors are, also, very free to choose any Adult Bible Study of interest during that same time.
-Small Groups - As with all adults, Seniors are encouraged to join a Small Group that meets at various times during the week, usually within a home setting.  For more information, check out the guest pamphlet entitled, “Study and Fellowship - Sunday School classes and Small Groups.” You may, also, indicate your interest on the back of the Worship “Connection Card” and/or inquire with the church office.
-Senior Ladies Lunch Bunch - is a monthly time of food, fellowship, and encouragement at an area restaurant.
-Retired Men’s Bible Study - is a weekly time of teaching, sharing, prayer, and encouragement through Bible Study.
-Men’s Breakfast - is a monthly get-together at an area restaurant for men of all ages for good food, sharing principles of being a bold man of God, encouragement . . . and more good food!

-Men Following Christ (MFC) - is a monthly, 8:00 - 10:00 a.m., “4th Saturday” gathering of men throughout the area at the Grace College Alpha Dining Commons in Winona Lake. It begins with a delicious breakfast buffet . . . followed by sharing in song and a pre-planned testimony from one of the men . . . concluding with a special speaker to challenge all men in the Lord.
